Description

I am still not sure what were "ungulate rodents" ancestors.I think in the most propable scenario it should be some kind of Muroid rodent, but I dont have any sympathy for their scaly tails (xD).It may be also some kind of squirel.
Anyway,Animals like this were(or to be more exact, will be) common in late holocene/early Eozoic/Terazoic(2-10 milions years in future) Eurasia. They share their enviroments with much more derived "ungulate hares",various geese, hedgehogs or bitterns. This condylarth-like animals are still omnivores, with 5,small hoof-possessing fingers (I and V are somewhat weaker, with III being more developer)
Some species are burrowers, while other use thick bushes as shelters. Many of them die each year due to predation by various predators, including land bitterns.
Most species are fox-sized and are either loners or live in small groups.
