Feel much better now, so i tryed to draw something, here you can see,how it looks :/ hate my scanner
anyway, this thing is Groundphilander, descendant of some kind of four-eyed opossums.
After deforestation and massive ice age, ancestral species had to face tree-less enviroment. Most notable adaptation is shorter tail, which was no longer needed, and bigger size, about size of domestic cat.
This unspecialized opportunistic omnivore is widespread in grasslands and warmer semi-deserts.
Like ancestral species, Groundphilander have well developed pouch
BTW for 3 MYF South america,i have to draw 25 animals,i guess most species would have 2 descendants, so for 7 MYF world,i would have to draw at least 200 animals...i feel so lazy maybe i should skip everything,or just complete first South american period and then start covering .. 31 MYF

Great idea!
"Most notable adaptation is shorter tail, which was no longer needed..." That sounds to me like Lamarckism
You don´t have to draw 200 critters, first because some ancestral species would go extinct and second because it´s easier to do an overview of the different groups, and describing only the most important species, instead of going one by one.
And one thing... not all the species at that rime would have 2 descendants, some would raise huge groups (especially after such a destructive extintion), while others would just have several descendants.
By the way, what do you think about coatie descendants, they´ll probably fill many niches at South America, some of them might fill the niche of baboons and other terrestrial monkeys.
